Multi-dimensional Childhood poverty and deprivation can end.
Background.
Hope Restoration Centre-Uganda was established in 2018 by Otingcwinyu Godfred also known as Aloysius, as a small charity for some few orphans and Vulnerable Children in his community following his critical observations, experiences and interactions with various orphans and Vulnerable children during his school times,at workplace(HIV / AIDS Prevention,Care, treatment and support Centre ) ,at refugees settlement centres(camps) and at different levels of the communities. He then asked himself the four (4) questions below;
Qn1:what if we all accept to be love channels to each other!?
Qn2:What if we put ourselves in their shoes and share in their pains!!??
Qn3:What if we change their attitudes with our good deeds and instill hope in them!!!??Qn4:What if we help them overcome fear of loneliness, negligence and rejection by supporting them from all spheres of life!!!!??
The above questions prompted him to form a team to structure anon profit volunteer organization which then conducted a random community surveys to exhume some of the key challenges affecting the psychological,social,moral and physical welbeing of these children in the different communities where they live inorder to give priorities and fix them appropriately .
Based on the findings of HRC-UG, 6 in 10 of all children suffers multidimensional childhood poverty and Deprivation due to orphaned and child vulnerability status,parental child negligence spearheaded by;
1.Very poor socio-economic status of the caretakers,who needs to be empowered to be able to play their parental roles holistically.
2.Knowledge gaps of the caretakers/children on child safeguarding and child protection,who needs to be equipped with knowledge, skills and techniques on how to effectively parent children
.3.Old age states of the caretakers.
4.Other vulnerability states of the caretakers
